Selling my old MacBook Pro 15' battery. The battery is 3rd party. My MBP is one of the notorious MBP 2011 cases. This is the replacement battery which came after the first battery was returned within 1 year of warranty. I had purchased a 3rd party battery after my original one went kaput. That new battery lasted for 8-9 months and started giving me less backup which was due to a faulty voltage connection and frequent power downs at my campus. So, then I got a spikeguard and a new replacement battery. This combination worked fine until my MacBook went dead. Since then this battery has been lying around. I would like to give it up, rather than sitting in a dead MacBook and being wasted. This battery used to give me 3-4 hours of backup and has very few cycles. Most probably under 80-100 cycles. The brand is 4D.

Trying to sell my 15" MacBook Pro on which I had gotten a "Generation Package-II Plus Upgrade" from Apple Singapore, which means they officially replace and upgrade various components of the Laptop such as fans, heat sinks, battery, Hard Drive and RAM. They upgrade the older chassis with all new hardware. Its considerably cheaper than buying a brand new MacBook Pro!! With the Generation Upgrade, you basically have a 2017 Laptop which costs about USD 4,200 (Rs. 2,68,000/-). I just bought myself a brand new 12" MacBook as its much lighter than a MacBook Pro and I need it for Mobility. MacBook Pro (especially this) is best for power computing, speed, reliability, applications which need abundance of memory. This is not a good option for Mobility and to lug around in the Train, Bus, etc.. Better for Home / Office Use. Am proposing 1/3rd cost of what a new MacBook Pro with same specs would cost today.
