The Asus Zenfone 3 Max comes with a 4100mAh battery that is non-removable. The earlier Asus Zenfone Max had a 5000 mAh battery and despite the 900 mAh load shedding, the battery performance of the Zenfone 3 Max is way better than its earlier version.

The 4G dual-SIM device has a battery backup of almost two days. The phone will not die out on you at all once it's fully charged. The only issue is that it takes a little extra time than you would like to charge fully.

Despite the big battery Asus has managed to keep the thickness of the phone to the minimal here. The Zenfone 3 Max is slimmer than the Zenfone Max and is easy to carry in the pocket as well. It's not at all a bulky device. The device features a 5.5-inch Full High Definition (1080p) display that has a maximum brightness of 400nits. It is a very potent display but the colours do look a bit washed off.

The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core 64-bit processor clocked at 1.4GHz and is backed by 3GB RAM. For graphics, the device comes loaded with an Adreno 505 GPU. The device is powerful enough to handle the daily requirements but the ZenUI that's loaded on top of the Android Marshmallow operating system does have some troubles.

The Zenfone 3 Max also comes with a fingerprint scanner that's fast to unlock the phone or launch apps. For camera lovers it comes loaded with a f/2.0 16-megapixel PixelMaster Camera that has a 5p Largan lens and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF). The image results are better than what you got on the previous iteration of the Max.
