Bhumi volunteers primarily work amongst over 18,000 underprivileged children with the aim of providing children with quality supplementary education to enable them become responsible and productive citizens of the future. Bhumi has two core areas of work - Education and Civic Projects Ignite: Transformational Education Ignite is Bhumi's supplementary education programme for under-privileged children. The programme is delivered during the weekends by trained volunteers of Bhumi. The programme consists of English, Mathematics, Science, computers, mentoring, arts, sports and life skills support. Catalyse: Transforming Citizenry Catalyse consists of Bhumi’s civic initiatives that engage volunteers in causes like animal welfare, community welfare, disability, environment, health etc. The programmes consisting of one-off and regular volunteering activities engage over 10,000 volunteers each year in over 20 cities across India. Job Title / Designation: Operations Manager - Ignite Job Description: •Drive the operational plan which incorporates goals and objectives that work towards the strategic direction of the program •Ensure that the operations of the organization meet the expectations of its stakeholders •Oversee the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of the program •Help Strategise programme expansion within existing city chapters and across new cities •Build partnerships in NGOs, Learning centres, Schools, establishing relationships with the management and community leaders at each expansion site •Assist & Monitor the execution of the programme nationally •Coordinate and execute centre level liaison with the operations team nationally - Annual centre engagement formalities, quarterly progress reports, feedback collection and timely resolution •Ensure the availability & track teaching resources at each learning centre nationally •Coordinate and engage vendors, procurement of materials nationally (on need basis) Key Functions & Roles of the Candidate: •Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – English, Hindi & Tamil •Basic computer skills – Word, Excel, Powerpoint - essential •Proactive, Self-Monitored, Resourceful, Accountable •Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people •Problem solving and Decision making skills are essential •Willingness to travel extensively –locally& nationally Specific Skill Set: •Expected Age: Below 35 •Scope: Willing to work flexible hours •Prior experience with non-profit organisation / field work is desirable Minimum/Maximum/ Work Experience Required: More than 3 years of relevant work experience Annual CTC: 3.36 Lakh - 4.20 Lakh.
