Reporting to the Foreman, the successful candidate will ensure that a quality product is produced on time through effective people, quality, material & process management. Key outputs and responsibilities will include: Key Outputs/ Responsibilities Lead from the front and achieve agreed production targets to established quality standards through effective people skills. Labour allocation Monitor & control wastes Enhance performance of team (Bags per man-hr) through consistent follow-up and encouragement Assist in Identifying manpower and shift requirements Be accountable for Bags per Man-hour of their respective line/team Assess competence of team members and, train shop floor personnel in multi-skilling Proactively engage in hourly shop floor meetings aimed at eliminating/minimising bottle-necks and ensuring un- Interrupted process flow. Line setup and Line balancing Complete and maintain up to date production and attendance records. Manage discipline & housekeeping in their respective areas. Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to.
