Twice a week the amount increased when there was no winner. At first, after the five hundred million plateau, it jumped by just under two million at each biweekly announcement. A major newspaper reported that people from England and other foreign countries were buying tickets after the prize reached this five hundred million level. As this amount increased to more than five hundred million, the prize advanced almost five million in each biweekly announcement.

Tourism is often described as an industry with high growth rates, and it is subject to radical change in how it is produced and consumed. However, there is still a relatively poor understanding of how such changes are brought about – that is, through innovation.
