Minimum: 2 years experience Reports To: Team Leader Overview/Purpose: Triohm is seeking a strong front-end Word Press Developer responsible for architecting and designing code that can be easily enhanced and reused rather than writing one-offs. The ideal candidate will be a great developer with excellent front-end development experience as well as proven experience implementing WordPress themes and plugins. The developer will be working with other back-end developers, team leaders and designers, rolling high quality, reusable code for new products and features as part of the digital roadmap of multiple brands. This is a full-time position in our India office. Key Functions: •Develop code that adheres to project requirements primarily using HTML, CSS/LESS, XML/JSON, AJAX, javascript, and PHP. •Extend Bootstrap or the like, to make for efficient code themes and augmentation. •Develop page templates, reusable page modules, and other web components based on mockups, wireframes and functional specifications •Design, create and manage relational databases utilizing MySQL (Mid to Sr. level) •Work with peers to help determine best programming practices used for a project. •Perform QC and testing of web programming to ensure functionality. •Adhere to version control policies and maintenance. •Troubleshoot development issues and work with development team, project managers, creative and account teams to discuss dev-related issues and/or the impact of specific development requests on the project. •Proactively stay on top of the latest industry technologies and digital trends. Share knowledge with appropriate internal staff. Requirements: The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experiences and qualities: •2+ years experience developing in PHP, HTML5, XML, XHTML, CSS/LESS. Javascript and Jquery strongly desired •Convert PSD and AI files into HTML and WordPress templates •Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud tools •Must have good English for internal communications and the ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently •WordPress platform; other CMS/platforms/frameworks oExtensive experience in templating for WordPress •Expertise in HTML, CSS, and cross‐browser layout issues •Advanced JavaScript knowledge oExpertise in a JavaScript library (jQuery preferred) oKnowledge of JavaScript design patterns and current issues and practices •Creating, building and working with APIs •Performance tuning and optimizing high traffic websites •Awareness of the issues involved when creating shared code •Experience with version control (DCVS such as Git or Mercurial ideal) •Familiarity with relational databases, preferably MySQL •Ability to consider and judge multiple approaches to a problem •Hands-on experience with agile development practices •PHP/other languages a plus •Experience building responsive and mobile experiences Salary will be commensurate with experience.
