IIFT Naraina is a Fashion design program that is conceptualized to build up a specialized and imaginative approach of students towards the feature of the design, technology, merchandise required to make, create, and marketplace to the ever-changing apparel industry. Students are exposed to ground-breaking and trial yet realistic considerate of current design to follow a wide range of careers in the global fashion design industry. The program endorses the skills of design, history of design and fashion, history of world art, the theory of textiles, facet study of conventional crafts and textiles, dying and printing techniques, illustration, surface ornamentation, the study of different fabrics, forecasting, presentation, promotion plus providing a sturdy technical background in ergonomics, garment manufacturing process and machinery, pattern making, draping and grading, sewing, construction of fabrics, knitwear design, creative pattern making, marketing and merchandising and market management through electronic design methods. Project based education enables students to reflect creatively and fully incorporate; they are considerate of the garment, technology, and market obligatory to determine specific design problems. Students are also exposed to designing garnishes such as jewelry, bags, footwear, belts, etc. Experience in textiles enables students to build up sensitivity to the nature and function of cloth. Apparel Merchandising programme provides you with the specialist knowledge and skills identified with accommodating trends and developing apparel ranges, commercial understanding and industry insights to access a range of positions in buying and merchandising. The students who wish to enter fashion and clothing industry, the administrative program is preferred for them.
