HMCL 3.3V / 5V TRIPLE AXIS COMPASS MAGNETOMETER IN INDIA
It is assumed that the reader knows how to connect the pins of HMCL breakout board to Arduino, which is very simple. HMCL Arduino VCC -> 5V or 3.3V (HMCL is rated for 3.3v but the break out board have a small voltage regulator) GND -> GND SDA -> SDA SCL -> SCL This header will only work for HMCL Magnetometer with I2C address of 0x1E. It is configured for single measurement each cycle. This means when the compass_scalled_reading() function is called, the HMCL is woken up and measurement is taken and then goes back to sleep mode. Moreover, the measurements are averaged by 8 samples and this averaging is hard coded. compass.h, require #include before #include “compass.h”, see the example file. Moreover, it also require to initialize I2C port by writing command “Wire.begin();” before calling any of the given functions.
