MACHINERY DESIGN ENGINEER IN INDIA

Required Personnel: Machinery Design Engineer Numbers: 3-4(m) Qual: B.E/ B.Tech Mechanical Engineering graduates with 2-5 years experience in machinery design department of a shipyard, design consultancy or classification society. Marine Engineers Class IV or II MOT certificate and with sailing experience minimum of 4 to 6 years within various ships fleet(Dry/Tankers/Gas etc.) Skills needed: Should be up-to-date with the latest rules and developments in the industry, Familiar with Ship classification society rules and regulations and practical ship building standards & procedures. •Conversant with ships machinery systems design and arrangements including piping system design and HVAC/ refrigeration systems. •Should be able to guide junior engineers and support them with required technical know how to do the design. •Familiar with estimation of project resource requirement, planning and execution. •Should be able to prepare formal document / reports. Working experience in Basic design, Detail and Production design is essential.
