PHOLIDOTA IMBRICATA ORCHID(CULTIVATED SPECIES) ONE LIVE IN INDIA

Pholidota imbricata is native to most of South East Asia ranging from India east to south east China, south through the Philippines, Indonesia, and Queensland Australia, and into the Pacific Islands. This species is also called the Rattlesnake Orchid for the rattle-like inflorescence. Plants consist of a thin conical pseudobulb topped by a single leaf. Pseudobulbs are 2” – 3” tall and the leaves are 8” – 12” long. Inflorescences are produce from the base of the pseudobulbs and will reach 8” – 20” long.
