Responsibilities Clearly communicate the Lean group’s philosophy, vision, & expectations. Develop & sustain a process for the training and development of Concord employees regarding Lean concepts Assist with development & implementation of a strategy for a self-sustaining Lean program. Assist in development of measurement systems that support Lean manufacturing philosophy. Lead value stream mapping exercises to identify & document opportunities to improve the business (Current & Future State). Develop & execute project plans in order to achieve the Future State. Develop & implement sustainable 5S, visual control, Point of Use (POU), Load Smoothing, Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), OEE, & Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs at Concord. Facilitate these efforts within assigned areas as needed. Document work done & results achieved. Develop & update standards as changes are made. Identify & horizontally deploy benchmark opportunities and develop partnerships with appropriate parties (internal & external to Concord). Plan and achieve department budget objectives for expense and capital items. Lead cost reduction efforts. Requirements Minimum B.S. Degree in an engineering discipline. 0-1 years in manufacturing; Experience implementing Lean in a manufacturing environment. AutoCAD and Visio experience also required. Working knowledge of Lean/Simplification, cycle time reduction, cost analysis, value stream mapping, line balance/staffing, error proofing, etc. Knowledge of Lean organizational design.
