CONTENT WRITER Job Description: Responsible for writing and publishing Web content; maintaining and updating Web pages/blogs; monitoring and responding to user-contributed website content; and participating in social media efforts for the company Keeps up-to-date with best practices in writing for the web, social media trends, web usability, web design, and business/industry trends Moderates content as it is contributed to the website by external sources Helps develop & document procedures to manage Web content Contributes to/updates the company s social sites like Face book and Twitter Writes and posts content online; maintains company Web pages and blog(s) Monitors social media outlets and responds on topics related to company/industry Desired Skills and Experience Bachelor's/Master s Degree in Journalism, English or Communications Minimum 3 years of marketing experience in the IT Software/Services industry, including marketing communications, copy writing, editing, content development, content syndication Impeccable command over grammar with excellent copy editing skills Strong writer with proven ability to ensure best practices in messaging and writing Adept at handling both business and technology aspects of marketing content Technology enthusiast with an ability to convert complex technical information into appealing, easy to understand marketing content Ability to collaborate and work effectively in large, complex organizational structures with rapidly changing requirements and shifting priorities Research trends, news, and social media content for strategic use in content development Hard-working, determined self-starter Familiar with keyword research and search engine optimization PREFERRED SKILLS Experience managing Social media content and promotions Ability to handle digital content, while showing dexterity to juggle both online and offline content Moderately good comprehension of technology trends across industries Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills Experience in writing for the Web, content management and internet research Experience with social networks and implementation of social media marketing ADDITIONAL BENEFITS: Saturday and Sunday fixed off.
