PYTHON HACKERS EXCITING CHAT STARTUP IN INDIA

RedCarpetUp (YCombinator 2015) is a California-based startup, with offices in Gurgaon. Our core team is from IITB+IITD+IIM and has run some of India's largest e-commerce startups.  We work at the intersection of hardware, payments and retail. we are trying to drag the world of offline retail to be as competitive as e-commerce.  We have a fairly interesting stack using Flask, SQLAlchemy, Docker, Postgres and Redis and a lot of core Android work (using RxJava!). We also build our own hardware and previously have done core work in NFC, IOT and beacons. We have lots of interesting work and you'll learn a crazy lot of stuff. You'll love our Silicon Valley culture - flexible timings, freedom to work on side projects (like "Google 20%") and a love of open source. About the Internship: You will get to work on functional Python, especially flask, sqlalchemy, rq and redis. You will learn a lot about how high performance, secure APIs are built and deployed in production. You will actually be given responibility for a large part of the backend.We cannot reveal a lot more here because we are still in very stealth mode. Who can apply: No branch/stream restriction !you will NEED to have prior experience in either Django/Flask/Bottle/Tornado/Twisted/etc python based web framework. Extra points if you have used sqlalchemy.We have a large part of the stack in Ruby+Java - we welcome people experienced in Ruby or Java to apply, if they believe they have the necessary understanding to learn python and pick up advanced web concepts. Your interview will most likely happen in Python;)
