Liaising across multiple departments, including R&D, Mechanical Design and Product Assurance, you will provide technical support, from the initial design of the mechanical component through to final production, assessing cost and efficiency of production. You will also be responsible for visiting external suppliers of instrument components, both locally and internationally, to review manufacturing performance and suggest improvements to processes. To be considered for this role you must have extensive experience of high precision manufacturing/production experience of metal/plastic components, a strong understanding of machine processes (CNC/CMM) and ability to interpret technical drawings.
