MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER IN INDIA

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the successful candidate will join the Engineering team to provide support on multiple automotive engine projects for a major client. We are looking for a self-starter with enthusiasm and drive to ensure Engineering activities are completed on time and meet requirements. The Project Engineer will be accountable for product testing and evaluation, performing data analysis and mechanical troubleshooting to deal with any airflow issues that may arise. These tasks will need to be scheduled, completed and summarized effectively for the Project Management team, requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to accurately interpret engineering drawings, problem solve, produce timing plans, reports and presentations will be key attributes in this exciting role. Some travel may be required. Training and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering At least 5 years of relevant Engineering experience Required skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Organized with good attention to detail. Talented problem solver. Experienced in Automotive design and development. Proven ability to deliver according to customer requirements. Proficient in report writing and project tracking. Capable of identifying and implementing continuous improvement actions. Demonstrate customer focus, both internal and external. Exhibit flexibility in support other functions and projects as the need arises. Competent team player. Desired Skills: Automotive engine testing or application testing experience. Instrumentation and test experience. Automotive manufacturing experience. Familiarity with Automotive OEM projects. Understanding of SolidWorks
