Reports to: VP/ HOD _ Job Description Main Purpose Of Job: The major work of a teacher is teaching and learning, curriculum delivery and development of students. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Planning and preparing courses and lesson Teaching, according to their educational needs, the pupils assigned to her, including the marking of the of work to be carried out by pupils in school and elsewhere; Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainments of pupils. OTHER ACTIVITIES Providing guidance and advice to students on educational and social matters an on their further education and future careers. Making records of and reports on the personal and social needs of the students. Communicating and consulting with the parents. Participating in extracurricular activities Maintain good order and discipline among students in accordance with the policies of JIS. Coordinating and managing the work of other teachers. Maintain the attendance register for students. Maintain all stock and stationeries provided by the school. Manage the teaching rooms and the pupils in such a way as to provide suitable learning environment. Undertake administrative duties as may be mutually agreed.
