What the meaning of the word “selfie”?

Selfie is a word that grew 17000% in 2013, and because of this reason it was considerate the word of the year by the oxford dictionaries.  

 Accordingly with the same dictionary the meaning off the word selfie is “a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website.”

There is two ways to take a selfie, directly from the mobile phone or to take a picture to the mirror.

A selfie as the advantage that you don’t need no one to take a picture of you. In case of groups a selfie is a way to everyone appear in the photo.

Selfie are sometimes acceptable but you don’t need to post one every day. Just post the good ones, and that will make your ego rise.
